We verify you're a real professional at a real company. That address is held by our authentication system so we can sign you in and reset your password, nothing else. Moniker never emails it for outreach, never sells it, and never hands it to a vendor. It doesn't appear in your Moniker profile, and it's never joined to your inbox.

You pick a deliberately broad company profile from three short dropdowns. Industry, company size band, and HQ country (e.g. "Technology & Software · 201–1000 · Australia" instead of your actual employer). Then you choose your own Moniker ID, checked for availability. That profile and that ID are what a vendor sees, nothing narrower.

No. Use your real address for anything that controls access to an account. Your Moniker inbox is built for vendor outreach: the mail that arrives because you asked a company for a demo, a trial, or a pricing guide. Two reasons to keep logins out of it. First, resetting your Moniker issues a new address, and any account whose recovery runs through the old one becomes much harder to get back into. Second, we'd rather not hold anything that could be used to take over your accounts.
Some transactional mail will land there anyway. A trial signup sends you a magic link, and that's the address you gave them. That's expected and fine. The line we're drawing is about where your account recovery points, not about the occasional confirmation email.
No. Sorting is done by rules, this vendor domain goes in that category, and you can see and change every one of them. The intelligence sits in knowing which vendors sell what, which is a question about the software market, not about your inbox.
