Moniker exists for one reason. To give B2B professionals back control of their professional identity.
Vendors pay us. We'd rather you heard that from us than worked it out later.
Here is exactly what they're paying for. When you set up your Moniker, you describe your company in three deliberately blunt terms: broad industry, a wide employee-count band, and country. Vendors can see that profile and the category you're evaluating. They cannot see who you are, where you work, or how to contact you. If one of them wants to talk to you, they ask, and we charge them only if you accept. If you say no, or say nothing, they pay nothing and learn nothing.
That's the whole mechanism, and it's why the two halves of this aren't in tension. What vendors are buying is your intent, which you chose to publish. What we're withholding is your identity, which you didn't. The business only works while you keep answering, so anything that fills your inbox with approaches you didn't want is a problem for us before it's a problem for you.
No analytics. No cookies. No local storage. No pixels, session recorders, or A/B testing tools. Not even a webfont pulled from someone else's server. We'd rather you didn't take that on faith: open your browser's developer tools, reload this page, and watch the Network tab. Every request goes to getmoniker.id and nowhere else.
The honest trade-off is that we genuinely don't know how many people read this page, or which parts of the site work. That's a strange thing for a company to give up, and we're not pretending it's free. It just seemed like the wrong thing to be inconsistent about. Running an ad-funded analytics stack on a site arguing against being tracked is a hard position to hold with a straight face.
One clarification, since "no tracking" gets used loosely: our web host processes standard server access logs, as every web host does. That's covered in the Privacy Policy.
Moniker verifies you're a real professional at signup using your business email. That address is held by our authentication system so we can verify you, sign you in, and reset your password. It's kept apart from your Moniker profile, never joined to your inbox, never used for outreach, and never visible to any vendor you interact with.
A vendor you engage with sees your Moniker alias email address, plus the deliberately coarse, non-PII company profile you chose at signup. Broad industry, company size band, and HQ country. They never see your name, your real email, your real phone number, or your employer, unless you choose to reveal it yourself.
You can reset your Moniker alias at any time. Vendors you've explicitly marked as trusted carry forward; everyone else loses the ability to reach you at the old alias immediately.
Full data retention policy is being finalised ahead of launch and will be published here. Our starting principle: we keep only what's needed to run your inbox and route your calls. Not a permanent archive of everything you've ever received.
If you're evaluating Moniker as an early user or vendor partner and have specific questions about data handling before launch, reach out. We'd rather answer directly than leave it vague. Privacy questions go to privacy@getmoniker.id; anything else to hello@getmoniker.id.
